This is just a quick and dirty scam-job.

Adam over at Untitled07 did something strikingly similar not too long ago. Interested in the idea, I set about finding my own chunk of audio and artwork.

There's a series of sound objects—one set in forward, one in reverse—and as the file steps through the objects, it randomly determines if it should play a forward-playing file, or one in reverse.

The audio comes from Archive.org and is taken from a Kinetophone recording of actor Frank Lenord made at the Edison motion picture film studio, Bronx, NY around 1913. The audio can be downloaded here.

The image is of a World War II propaganda poster taken from a EURISKOdata.com CD compilation of propaganda posters.

The source .fla (Flash MX) can be downloaded, too.
